Bamboo Bath Towels - The Greener Choice

If you heard the word bamboo, you might be thinking of the actual tree-like plant that adorns many Asian-inspired gardens. However, with the continuous growth of technology, these very adaptable grasses can also be created into beautiful bamboo bath towels. True to the current global outcry for a greener planet, bamboo bath towels can really be an Earth-friendly choice.

The usual cotton bath towels are readily available worldwide, but consider some of its disadvantages. Cotton is not only absorbing water, it can also absorb the odor and the unlikely smell enveloping it. This is not the case with your bamboo towels. Although proven by analysts as a relatively better water absorber (as a matter of fact, bamboo towels can seep in 60% more water compared to the same-sized cotton towels), bamboo bath towels can effectively bounce off nasty odors, regardless of its persistence. This is due to the unique capability of the bamboo's surface to resist growth of moisture for a long time, thus lessening the chances for microbial and bacterial growth. Moisture can be a splendid thing, but if it is infested with microbes, the foul smell could escape its surface and could find its way to irritate your nostrils. But in towels from bamboos, you will never have to fret again. Another disadvantage of cotton towels is their use of toxic elements, however infinitesimal. This is due to the pesticides used to protect the cotton shrubs from rotting. These deadly chemicals can be absorbed by the actual cotton flower, and thus it would be carried into your towel. In bamboo, on the other hand, there is no need for any pesticide application. Even synthetic fertilizers are unnecessary for its growth.

But most especially, bamboos are organic. They help in effectively absorbing carbon emissions. In that case, would you just release the chance of helping Mother Nature by replacing your towels?
